MAEd in Mild/Moderate Educational Needs + Intervention Specialist Initial Licensure: 6 Semesters
BW’s Master of Arts in Education in mild/moderate educational needs with initial intervention specialist licensure program prepares teachers to fulfill a statewide and national need for intervention specialists able to work in inclusive settings as consultant teachers, small group instructors, resource room teachers, transition service coordinators and co-teachers in an inclusive classroom.

    • Flexible, online coursework
    • Finish in 6, semesters, attending part-time
    • Extensive field and clinical work in a school district local to you
    • A cohort model that allows you to build strong relationships with peers and faculty
    • Priority matching with a mentor teacher
    • Customizable fieldwork, so you can focus on the grades that you want to teach, while still being prepared to teach in and licensed for K-12
    • Fifty-six semester hours lead to an MAEd degree and an initial intervention specialist license
    • Successful completion of the state exam is required for license eligibility in mild/moderate educational needs

With recent funding from the Ohio Department of Higher Education under the Addressing the Educator Shortages grant program, those enrolling in this program may qualify for non-repayable grants of up to $4,000. These State grants bring tuition down from $32,205 to $28,205.*
