About the BW-Cuyahoga County Partnership
Baldwin Wallace and Cuyahoga County are proud to bring educational opportunities to county employees through a unique 3-year private-public partnership, because Together, We Thrive! To address opportunities for professional and personal growth and development, the County has established a Tuition Reimbursement Program for executive and non-executive agencies. Cuyahoga County employees are encouraged to focus on self growth and to advance their career or explore new career options through bachelor’s, master’s and certificate programs at Baldwin Wallace.
All full-time County employees employed for more than one-year and who meet the admission requirements of Baldwin Wallace are eligible for this reimbursement benefit and special discounted tuition rates.
Reimbursment
Once required documentation is received, the County will reimburse eligible employees for payment of tuition up to $300 per credit hour – maximum of 12 semester credits or $3,600 per academic year for bachelor’s and master’s degree/graduate programs. Tuition rates for undergraduate courses for County employees are $300/credit hour. Graduate courses are $425/credit hour. For example, a 32-credit master’s degree program would have a total tuition of $13,600 ($425 x 32), which means a County employee could complete the program in 3 years for a total of $2,800 in out of pocket expenses if eligible for the full annual reimbursement rate ($13,600 – $3,600 x 3 years).
